Managing Director
Location : Eastern Massachusetts
Reporting: This Director reports directly
to the CEO, North America, for this $1.5 BB European based
food products company. Reporting to this Director will be
a full functional organization that this Director will build.
Responsibilites: Our client recently acquired
a niche products food manufacturer in the Boston area because
of the anticipated growth in this segment of the food industry.
In addition, this acquisition will serve as a platform upon
which our client plans to achieve aggressive growth revenues
over the next several years in the United States. This growth
will occur through acquisition, internal product development,
and licensing arrangements with world class brand owners.
This Director will lead a new licensing program, which has
had great success in Europe, into the US market. A number
of new product categories of this established international
brand will be launched to several hundred US stores in early
2009. The objective is to build aggressively the number of
overall stores that carry these new product categories. While
there will be strong organizational support for this effort,
this Director will be key to driving the success of this program.
Moreover, this Director must ensure that all of the pieces
are in place to begin the launch by January and then to assess/readjust
by mid-year as necessary to ensure a rapid rate of ongoing
growth. In parallel, this Director will build a management
team (direct/indirect) and a functional support organization
to support this growth effort.

must bring energy, flexibility, and
Qualifications: commitment to the success
of this program. Candidates must possess an impressive track
record of launching/building brands and well understand all
aspects of the support elements necessary to establishing
a brand. The company culture overall is an extremely entrepreneurial
one with few layers of managements where senior managers are
expected to be as hands on as is necessary and totally committed
to meeting company objectives.

Compensation: A base salary that will likely
pay in the mid $100’s along with a bonus incentive that
will bring total compensation to over $200,000.
