Why Us?
KS FRARY&ASSOCIATES does not believe that all retained
search companies are created equal nor do we believe that
we are the best recruiting partner for every business. We
offer, however, considerable value in areas that may be important
to you.
OWNER OPERATED- The Principal you work with
is an equity partner who is involved in every aspect of the
search process from initial Client meetings to engagement
letter development to candidate sourcing and screening; personal
interviews; candidate presentation; candidate referencing;
and candidate close. There is a consistency of process from
start to finish with every project. This may be why we enjoy
a client repeat rate that approaches 90%, among, if not, the
highest in our industry.
FLEXIBLE RETAINERS- Most search firms charge
1/3 of projected 1st year cash compensation as its retainer.
We charge a fixed fee based on the anticipated level of project
difficulty and estimated time to complete the work. On a percentage
basis, this averages between 22-30 percent of projected cash
compensation. Because the cost of our research support is
similar on both mid and high level projects, our retainer
is usually lower, on a percentage basis, on the higher level
searches. Moreover, in certain circumstances, we extend payments
beyond the industry norm 90 day payment cycle.
DEEP RESOURCES- While we conduct an ongoing
amount of national search work, we are increasingly doing
more regional search as companies are finding it more difficult
and expensive to attract people to Eastern New England. Because
of this, our resources, including our database, are deep as
it relates to contacts in this region.
BUSINESS PARTNER- We are as much business
partners as we are recruiting partners with our Clients. No
recruiter can be truly effective unless he/she well understands
the Client’s business and associated issues facing its
products and markets. We realize, of course, that company
culture and chemistry fit are essential to the selection of
the right candidate, but know from experience that without
the understanding of company business dynamics, the search
outcome may be questionable.
HANDSHAKE- Most retained recruiting companies require
their clients to sign a legal contract before beginning a project.
We instead initiate a non legally binding letter of understanding
that requires nothing more than a handshake and personal commitment
to honor the terms of the letter. And, if Client circumstances
change during the search process, we are willing, as appropriate,
to alter our LOI. We are most interested in a long term “win-win”
and hence are flexible in responding to Client needs. In 28
years of recruiting, we have had only one company that did
not fully honor its commitment.
